July I signed up for my first 5K race. It's a virtual zombie race and I started getting ready as soon as I signed up. This song says it all.

Yumino Hajima Ring Ring by Kyary Pamu Pamu

August was a great adventure for me. It's the month that I went from being an Office Assistant to an Eligibility Worker.The transition felt as if I was graduating into the next phase of my life. This song was on my mind in the weeks leading up to my promotion. Since this song is in Japanese I'll link the translation HERE.

I'll Make a Man Out of You - Disney's Mulan

Now that I'm an Eligibility Worker, I have to go through an intensive training to prepare for the job. I feel like Mulan on a daily basis. Everything is stacking up and nohing goes right until I'm ready to give up. Then I decide to try just one more time... THAT'S when I get it and feel like I can actually do this. The trainers are so wonderful in encouraging me and helping us when we have questions. I couldn't do it without them.

I chose this song for March because this was the first month Jason and I had been together since our breakup. I think back then neither of us were ready for a relationship but I think we are now growing and supporting each other.

Jessie J- Who You Are

In April my depression started getting bad. I stopped taking my medication because it made me feel stupid. It dumbed me down in a way that is hard to explain. I tried talking to a doctor about it but they didn't seem to want to help me.

Savage Garden- Crash and Burn

My parents and Jason noticed I was depressed and reached out to me in May. They made sure I knew I wasn't alone and they were there for me no matter what.

Star Darlings- Up

This month I applied for a promotion at work. Within a few days of submitting my application I got a request to come in for a qualifying test. The next week I had an interview. Now I'm just waiting for my background check to come back.

December is a busy for month for any person but in my profession I see a lot of pain. My goal in working there is just to make a difference in one person's life a day.

Life is a Highway by Rascal Flatts

This month I got my own car! It is a little Nissan Altima but I love it. It makes me grow up a bit and feel like I have a bit of freedom. I appreciate that my parents let me use their car but it's nice to have my own.

I Hope You Dance by Lee Ann Womack

My mother and I went to see her in concert on February 26 with our friend and Lee Ann sang this song. My mom says that if she had last words for me, these would be them. I've always loved this song. It's a good reminder 

myself.
